About Sinawe Application Centre

OUR STORY

Born in Bizana, built for learners like you

Mxolisi Mpofana was born and raised in Bizana, Eastern Cape. After completing matric in 2021, he experienced firsthand how difficult university applications could be — he couldn't apply early, couldn't afford internet café assistance, and had limited knowledge about higher education. He applied for a Master of Education straight out of high school, was provisionally accepted, but didn't understand why the institution kept rejecting his documents. A student at NMU eventually helped him realise his mistake. He secured his place at NMU — but was left asking: how many other learners face the same challenges? That question led to the founding of Sinawe Application Centre on 22 May 2022, formally registered as an NPC in 2024 (Reg: 2024/858177/08). What began as one person's solution has grown into a bridge to higher education for hundreds of learners across South Africa.
