OUR STORY

Built From Firsthand Experience

Mxolisi Mpofana grew up in Bizana, Eastern Cape. In 2021, he finished matric with big dreams but no roadmap — internet café fees were out of reach, and no one around him understood how higher education worked. He applied to NMU, believing he was on the right path. But his documents kept getting rejected. A fellow student finally showed him the mistake — and helped him secure his place. That sparked one question: How many learners lose their chance simply because no one showed them how? That question became his purpose. In 2022, Mxolisi founded Sinawe Application Centre. What started as one young person’s fight for a future is now a bridge to higher education for hundreds of learners.
